Head of Business Development & Investor Relations – Frankfurt, Germany
This is a unique and strategic leadership role within an International Wealth Management firm committed to long-term stewardship and excellence across generations.
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in managing key investor relationships, spearheading new client acquisition initiatives, and representing the firm’s investment philosophy to a global audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all business development and marketing efforts, including strategic messaging, investor targeting, relationship cultivation, and acquisition initiatives.
- Drive outreach to prospective investors, focusing particularly on ultra-high-net-worth families, family offices, and foundations with a global perspective.
- Develop, refine, and disseminate content that effectively communicates the firm’s investment strategies and values to current and prospective investors.
- Take a structured, process-oriented approach to managing investor relationships, ensuring ongoing engagement and prospect pipeline management.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on marketing strategies, aligning communication with brand vision and business objectives.
- Prepare and deliver impactful presentations, marketing materials, and investor communications that engage and inform.
- Actively engage with the existing investor base, providing regular updates on portfolio performance, market trends, and investment strategies, while addressing inquiries.
- Coordinate key business development events, including conferences, on-site meetings, conference calls, and investor events as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Business Development or Investor Relations, particularly within Wealth Management or Asset Management sectors, with a proven track record in client acquisition and relationship management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a structured, transparent approach to relationship management; capable of engaging with sophisticated investors across various cultures and regions.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to articulate complex investment strategies in a manner that resonates with family offices and institutional investors.
- In-depth understanding of financial markets, macro investment strategies, and the needs of UHNW clients. A value-driven, insight-based approach to relationship building is essential.
- Proficient in CRM tools, client analytics, and investment performance analysis. Multilingual skills are advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and respect cultural differences, tailoring communications to build trust and establish long-term partnerships with global investors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) is preferred and a significant asset in this role.
